Medication Aide Class in February

Ideal for Nurse Aides working in nursing homes who would like to expand their skills, this class is available through Beaufort County Community College’s Continuing Education Division. Medication Aide for Long-term Facility

This course provides training for a current Nurse Aide to become a qualified Medication Aide.Students will learn is safe medication administration via the oral, topical and instillation routes to residents of long-term nursing facilities. Students who successfully complete the state competency exam will be listed in the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry.

The course costs $70, and the state exam is an additional $55, but some students may be eligible for assistance through NC Works. All-day Saturday classes run from February 17-March 3.
