Puccini’s La Boheme is the most performed opera in the world, and for good reason. It has memorable melodies, soaring arias, charming supporting roles, and a love story that is beautifully tragic. The musical Rent and the movies Moulin Rouge and Moonstruck all take inspiration from this timeless opera. The Metropolitan Opera’s production by Franco Zefferelli is a must to see and hear. So please join us! On Thursday evening we will gather with Jeff Phipps, retired member of ECU’s Theater Department, and he will lead an exploration of this opera. His lecture will make your
opera experience much richer. On Saturday we will travel to The Greenville Grand to see the Metropolitan Opera’s Live HD broadcast of La Boheme. Price includes lecture, transportation, and ticket to La Boheme.
