Info Session Will Help Students with Learning Difficulties



Beaufort County Community College will soon have a new program for people with learning difficulties. B.R.I.D.G.E., short for Building Resources to Individuals Determined to Grow & Excel, will help adults 16 or older with math and reading skills, soft skills and employability skills. The program will also help students explore careers in retail, horticulture, photography and restaurants. Students who have learning difficulties and/or challenges will have an opportunity to explore and develop job skills, career choices, academics in career context, goals and objectives for attainment.

The college will hold two informational sessions on June 6, with sessions at 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., in the Building 8 auditorium to help students through the application process, give them an overview of the program, talk through testing information and program requirements, as well as accessibility services.
