QuickBooks Academy for Small Businesses



The Small Business Center at Beaufort County Community College will host a three-part series to help small business owners get a grasp on their bookkeeping and accounting, so they can love the business they run, instead of agonizing about their finances. QuickBooks Academy: Is QuickBooks Right for Your Business or Non-profit? Part 1

Is QuickBooks software the right choice? This seminar will help you decide. Take a tour of both the Desktop Edition and the Online Edition led by an experienced accountant and QuickBooks consultant Semone Brisson. This popular seminar presenter will answer specific questions and share ways the software helps you save time, better manage your business, simplify bookkeeping and avoid costly errors. This seminar will take place on June 11 from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

QuickBooks Academy: How to Setup QuickBooks Desktop for your Business or Non-profit Part 2

What would you pay an accountant or consultant to set up the books for your business on QuickBooks software? How much time would it take to learn these steps on your own? This free seminar, geared toward the non-accountant and novice QuickBooks user, will answer these questions and more. Topics include: the important first steps to properly set up a QuickBooks company file, financial statement design, setting up user restrictions, data protection, and lots of tips and pointers. This seminar focuses on the desktop edition set up. Online users will also benefit from attending. Semone Brisson is your presenter. This seminar will take place on June 12 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

QuickBooks Academy: Simple & Easy Bookkeeping with QuickBooks Part 3

Do you worry that you lack dedication to “keep up” with a set of books or don’t know how to get started? Are you afraid you may get overwhelmed or frustrated and give up? This seminar is led by Semone Brisson, an accountant with decades of experience with QuickBooks and small business bookkeeping. She will share pointers on how to track your business transactions in the simplest way possible to keep an accurate set of books and produce financials. This seminar will take place on June 12 from 1:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

Hiring Championship Performers: 7 Steps for Building a Winning Team

This seminar, taking place on June 25 at 6:00 p.m. will cover the risks and challenges of hiring in today’s work environment, what happens before the hiring process begins, developing an accurate job description focusing on essential activities, establishing clear criteria for job candidate selection, the 7 steps, and an action plan. Brian Kennedy is your presenter.

Content Marketing in 2019
