Transfer to ECU with Pirate Promise

Many students come to Beaufort County Community College as an alternative to starting college at East Carolina University. They can choose to keep living with their families, save $9000 in tuition and fees alone, and complete their coursework in smaller classes. Students who attended high schools with small classes often find that they perform better when they start at a community college as opposed to immediately starting at a university. Pirate Promise is great way to ensure that your classes transfer to ECU, and it waives the application fee, saving you money. In order to take advantage of this program, you must apply for it before September 15.

To be eligible for the program, you must be enrolled full-time at BCCC in an associate degree program (AA, AS, or AAS in Early Childhood Education). Early College and Career & College Promise students are eligible if pursuing an approved associate degree and in their junior year of high school. To retain eligibility, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5.

Besides not having to pay the application fee, you will also have access to academic advisors, financial aid counseling, ECU's libraries and Pirate Promise events at ECU.
