Hispanic Cultural Presentation & Fiesta on Monday

Join TRiO on Monday, October 14 at noon in the Multi-purpose Room in Building 10 for its Hispanic Cultural Presentation and Fiesta. The event will feature food prepared by BCCC students and their families, along with a presentation from Jose Mendoza BCCC's Spanish and psychology professor.

TRiO has been celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month since September 15. Student Support Services, which helps with tutoring, technological support, cultural enrichment and college exploration, would like to share in this special annual tribute by learning about the generations of Hispanic and Latino Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society. National Hispanic Heritage Month is observed from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.

All month the BCCC Library has featured books highlighting Hispanic history and authors, and once a week the College Grill has offered menu options that celebrate Hispanic cultures.
