BCCC moves MLK Celebration to Juneteenth



Out an abundance of caution due to the spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, the college is postponing the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Celebration scheduled for January 17. BCCC will hold the event on June 20, 2022, at 12:00 noon in conjunction with the celebration of the Juneteenth National Holiday. The college will send out a save-the-date reminder later in the spring.

To honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Friday, January 14 and Tuesday, January 18 the BCCC Library will play the following films throughout the day. Students and employees can watch at the library or accessing the linked titles on their own.

I Am MLK Jr. (first hand insights on Dr. King, filmed in historic churches, Virgil Films)
