Registered Medical Assistant
RMA is a 720-hour course is divided into two sections. .The RMA program prepares students through classroom instruction to enter the medical field in various settings. Core course concepts are administrative and clinical skills. Students cannot progress to Part 2 until successfully completing Part I.

Prerequisite Information:
Part 1: A National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) is required at a Bronze level or higher in addition to a high school diploma or high school equivalency. Special consideration for entrance into the program may be given to those students who hold degrees or certificates. Final approval will be determined by the Director of Healthcare Programs. Post RMA Completion:
While there are a number of credentialing exam choices available to medical assistants, the BCCC RMA course is formatted within the guidelines recommended by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) credentialing agency. Medical Assistants that pass the AMT certification exam (accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies), are certified as Registered Medical Assistants. The current cost of the AMT certification exam is: $100.00
