Degree Options
Welcome to the Arts and Sciences division at Beaufort County Community College. While Arts and Sciences serves almost all curriculum programs at the college, it is best known for its transfer degrees that allow students to earn college credits that will transfer to most colleges and universities. The Associate in Arts and the Associate in Science allow you to complete coursework at BCCC that is equivalent to a university’s freshman and sophomore years, Students must maintain a GPA of at least 2.0 in order to transfer as a junior to most senior colleges and universities.
Arts and Sciences also offers the Associate in General Education. This curriculum is designed for the academic enrichment of students who wish to broaden their education, with emphasis on personal interest, growth, and development. This degree is not intended to transfer to four-year institutions.
Another program of study is Early Childhood Education. The Early Childhood Education curriculum prepares individuals to work with children in diverse learning environments. Students will combine learned theories with practice in actual settings with young children under the supervision of qualified teachers. This program also includes transfer option.
Depending on your goals, there is a fit for you at BCCC. Please contact a program lead instructor, the Centralized Advising Center or the BCCC admissions office for more information about starting one of our programs today!
