Degree Options
Welcome to the Business and Industrial Technology division at Beaufort County Community College. The programs in our division offer students a wide variety of employment opportunities. The business portion of the division includes studies in agribusiness, business administration, cosmetology, criminal justice, information technology and office /medical office administration. The industrial portion includes: automotive, welding, and three engineering areas: electrical, electronic and mechanical. Students entering our programs should possess a strong work ethic and critical thinking skills, as well as have the ability to interact with people of all types, work cooperatively, and as a part of a team.
The purpose of the Business and Industrial Technology programs is to provide our students with opportunities to gain hands-on experience from an industry-experienced faculty. All aspects of our programs are taught using a combination of classroom instruction and lab or practical experience. Upon completing a program at BCCC, our graduates are ready to enter the workforce. In addition to offering the traditional two year Associate’s degree the programs within the division offer a number of stackable credentials from certificates to diplomas culminating with a two year degree.
If you enjoy working with people and want to develop knowledge and skills that will enable you to enter the workforce or even pursue further education at a four year school, there is a fit for you in the at BCCC. Please contact one of the program lead instructors, the BCCC admissions office or myself for more information about starting one of our programs today!
Sincerely,
