Fall Scholarship Recipients Announced

The Beaufort County Community College Foundation is proud to announce the following recipients of scholarships through the BCCC Foundation for the fall 2017 semester. This is just a sample of the recipients. We will announce more recipients throughout the semester.

Brandy Addison has received the Archbell/Wilkinson Endowment Scholarship. Addison, 30, of Washington, is a nursing student. She attended Crittenden County High School, and she would like to work in a hospital setting. Addison holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and is a mother of two.

Brenley Boyd has received the State Employees Credit Union Scholarship. Boyd, 19, is working to become a physical therapist assistant, and she is working on her Associate in General Education.

Amanda “Brooke” Butler has received the Archbell/Wilkinson Endowment Scholarship. Butler, 18, of Williamston, is the first student to enroll in BCCC’s PackTrac program. This program will allow her to transfer to NC State University to finish a degree in agricultural education. Butler plans to teach at a North Carolina public school. She is the daughter of Jamie and Garland Butler of Williamston. Butler works as a riding instructor at Farm Life Stables and attended Riverside High School.

Anna Crisp has received the Harold & Louise Lane Endowment Scholarship. Merrill, 58, of Beaufort, is working toward an Associate in Applied Sciences in Human Services Technology. She would like to work with people, and help as many as she can. She holds an Associate in Applied Science in Accounting & Business Administration and earned a GED. Merrill attended Northside High School. She is the wife of James Crisp and a mother of two.

Anthony Jordan has received the Tayloe Memorial Endowment Scholarship. Jordan, 39, of Chowan County, is part of the LPN to ADN program. He plans to earn a Master of Science in Nursing. He holds degrees as a licensed practical nurse and a medical assistant. Jordan attended J. A. Holmes High School. He is the son of Beatrice Jordan and the late Odell Jordan, and he is a father of three. Jordan works at the Bertie Martin Jail.

Brandi Jordan has received the Tayloe Memorial Endowment Scholarship and the Myrtle Cutler Endowment Scholarship. Jordan, 22, of Pinetown, is a nursing student who plans to work with children. Jordan holds an Associate in Arts. She attended Northside High School. She is the daughter of Edward and Leana Jordan of Pinetown and Edward and Melonie Lewis of Washington. Jordan works as a nursing assistant at Ridgewood Nursing & Rehabilitation.

Alyssa Manning has received the James Franklin & Hannah Roberson Bagwell Endowment Scholarship. Manning, 19, of Williamston, is working toward becoming a medical laboratory technician. The daughter of Karmen and Rick Manning attended Bear Grass Charter School. She currently works as a robotics trainer for CyberKids Robotics.

Amber Merrill has received the Harold & Louise Lane Endowment Scholarship. Merrill, 19, of Bath, currently works as an office clerk at Food Lion. She is working toward an Associate in Arts and plans to become a physical therapist assistant. Merrill attended Northside High School. She is the daughter of Steven and Sandra Merrill of Bath.

Brianna Waters has received the James Franklin & Hannah Roberson Bagwell Scholarship. Waters, 18, is the daughter of Ronnie and Christie Waters of Plymouth. She is working on an Associate in Arts and plans to become a radiology technician. The Plymouth resident attended Roch Academy.
