MEET OUR BCCC BARBER ACADEMY INSTRUCTORS!

CAREER PATHWAY TO REGISTERED BARBER!! STEP 1: COMPLETE THE BARBER ORIENTATION COURSE!

This course will introduce students to the BCCC Barber Academy, discussing course requirements, the North Carolina Board of Baber Examiners’ rules and regulations, and general information on the academy. This course will be held as seats in the academy become available, and must be attended prior to enrolling in the academy. STEP 2: COMPLETE ALL THREE LEVELS OF THE BCCC BARBER ACADEMY!
Credential: Registered Barber License, North Carolina Board of Barber
This academy is designed to train and prepare students for the profession of barbering. This course will provide students with the information needed to pass the state licensure exams as well as the most contemporary techniques to ensure your success in school and employment on the job. This course offers skills, safety judgments, proper work habits, business skills, and desirable attitudes necessary to obtain licensure and for competency in job entry-level positions in Barbering or a related career field. The course materials include the Milady Standard Barbering 6th Edition textbook (ISBN: 9781305100558), Workbook (ISBN: 9781305100664), Exam Review (ISBN: 9781305100671), and a class kit available in the BCCC bookstore (prices are subject to change). Students will also need to purchase black closed-toed shoes, black scrubs, and obtain a photo ID from BCCC campus police prior to class.
